Day 1

(Classroom)

Principles of adult learning.

Methods of Instruction

Weapon systems introduction.

Weapon systems manipulation.

Range setup & normal safety precautions.

 

Day 2

(Classroom & Range)

Weapon zeroing & marksmanship principles. (dry and live)

Function check and weapon manipulation.

Shooting from the standing, kneeling & prone position.

Shooting from cover & shooting on the move.

Transition drills.

 

Day 3

(Classroom & Range)

Advanced shooting drills.

Individual & small team live fire drills.

Low light shooting

   

Day 4

(Classroom & Range)

Student teach backs, classroom.

Student teach back, live fire.

Graduation.

 

This course is designed to quickly bring an operator/officer up to speed as a long gun instructor. It is not required that the officer be highly proficient with the long gun already but it is highly suggested that they be proficient with the weapons system prior to attending the course.

This course is only eligible to:

Certified Law Enforcement Officers and Active Duty Military Personnel.

4 day SMG/Rifle instructors course.
